Designs for Le Coq d'Or, 1937.

Set and costume designs by Goncharova for Nicolas Rimsky-Korsakov's Le Coq d'Or. Originally produced by Diaghilev for its premiere at the Paris Opéra in 1914, Le Coq d'Or was the first ballet designed by Goncharova for the Ballets Russes. These designs were executed for the 1937 revival, staged by the Russian Ballet of Col. W. de Basil.
