Scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings and ephemera relating to the California Federation of Music Clubs. A typescript note in the first volume identifies the scrapbooks as "publicity books." The note bears the name Mrs. Harry Elliott, Chairman State Publicity, California Federation of Music Clubs. Vol. 1 includes a list of officers and committee chairmen and a program for the 24th annual convention (1942). Vol. 2 contains one loose photograph of the Fresno Women Singers, program for the 29th annual convention (1948); issues of Musical leader (Sept. 1949 and Nov. 1951); a pocket of "stories/carbons" that contains press releases but also more newspaper clippings and ephemera. Vol. 3 includes a menu for an "Aloha Banquet" (1952) (printed with two different covers, courtesy of Matson Lines); and some loose items, including a Federation review of the movie The medium, in the magazine Unbiased opinions of current motion pictures (February 2, 1952).
