The collection is in three groups: letters from Achille Rene Francois Leclere (14 items) relating to the business of the Ecole des beaux-arts (with a printed eulogy by Vinit on Leclere dated 1853 Dec. 26); letters from Jean Baptiste Ciceron Le Sueur (6 items) relating to school business; and 21 letters received (1837-1857, bulk 1852-1857) from the architects Augustin Caristie, Jacques Gilbert, Henry Alphonse de Gisors, Jacques Hittorf, Hippolyte Le Bas, Antoine Vaudoyer and Leon Vaudoyer relating to coursework, scheduling, administrative decisions and financial matters and, occasionally, to the business of the Academie des beaux-arts.
