Staff notes on patient diagnosis, 1929-1960.

These volumes contain handwritten notes from staff meetings at Willard State Hospital. The notes document staff presentations and discussions of cases of individual patients. Information given includes date; times of beginning and ending of meetings; staff in attendance; and names of persons giving reports and summaries. Patients whose cases were being discussed were sometimes present at the meetings, and their statements and the staff's observations of them are included. Reports from staff include abstracts of cases; patients' social, physical, and mental histories and diagnoses; treatment histories; and present symptoms. Staff determinations concerning diagnoses and parole decisions are sometimes noted.
