Reward files, 1842-1845.

This series consists of letters concerning rewards offered by the Governor of Ala. for the apprehension of criminals. Most of this series is composed of requests for the governor to offer a reward for various fugitives. Included is a letter from a Seymour White in Abbeville, Ala. stating that the reward offered for murderer Andy Owens is not sufficient enough to encourage anyone to risk his life trying to capture him.
