Letter : to Christian Gregson, 1803 Apr. 18.

Thomas Bewick sends his old friend C. Gregson a letter of introduction for the miniaturist Denis Brownell Murphy, who has made his portrait and is moving to London. The artist wonders why Gregson keeps "turmoiling" in London, instead of moving back to "the beauties of nature...spread out to enlighten and to cheer the heart of man."
