A genealogical account of the Goodhue family to 1833.

Handwritten genealogy on the descendants of William Goodhue of England and Ipswich, Mass. to the 6th generation. Note on the last page by Samuel G. Drake states that he copied the genealogy from printed minutes purporting to have been collected by Samuel Goodhue, a soldier of the Revolution in his 81st year Boston, 18 June 1845. Includes a letter from Henry Wheatland dated Salem Dec 21 1846 to S.G. Drake accompanied by a five page statement of facts relative to the descendants of William Goodhue.

Samuel Gardner Drake, antiquarian and author. Drake was born to Simeon and Love Muchmore (Tucke) Drake in Pittsfield, New Hampshire, on October 11, 1798. After teaching for several years in New Hampshire and New Jersey, Drake established a book auction business in 1828.
