An account of a visit to the octagonal "Chapel of the Princes," begun in 1604 by the architect Matteo Nigetti. Records the types of marble and decorative stone used for the columns, cornices, etc., and various semiprecious materials in the mosaics; "madre p[er]la," "lapis lazzaro," "agata orientale," and others. The anonymous writer also copied inscriptions above the tombs of the Medici.
