The Massachusetts Correctional Institution, Framingham, houses females sentenced to imprisonment, awaiting trial, or committed by the courts for alcohol or substance abuse treatment (MGLA c 125, s 16; c 123, s 35). Under the supervision of the director of security, the inner perimeter security team is responsible for investigating serious inmate infractions of institutional rules. Urinalysis processing forms are created to request and process tests for possible drug or alcohol use by inmate and to initiate legal actions against them if tested positive.
