Loose photographs and scrapbook: photographs include portraits of Bauer and family members, views from trips to Yosemite and Alaska, a few San Francisco views, and unidentified parlor interiors. Many views include wagons, carriages or automobiles. Also present is an oversize group portrait of Bauer and others at the William Crocker home in Burlingame, Calif. Scrapbook contains clippings, ephemera, and meeting notes related to the Alumni Commissioned Officers Association of the University of California, Bauer's naval career, and the Columbia Park Boy's Club. Albums: snapshots (ca. 1901) of Berkeley, San Francisco (including many Golden Gate Park, Sutro Heights, city panoramas, and the blowing up of Arch Rock), the Pacific Northwest (including many of Portland, Oregon, and a few of Seattle, Spokane and British Columbia) an Alaskan trip, Yosemite, various leisure outings, and numerous views of ships.
