Holograph notebook in Daudet's hand containing principally notes for reviews of theatrical performances and published editions of plays. Daudet records his impressions of entertainments written and performed by the leading writers and actors of his day. Among the persons mentioned in the notebook are Sarah Bernhardt, Julia Bartet, Georges Bizet, François Coppée, Constant Coquelin, Alexandre Dumas (fils), Daniel Halévy, Georges Hartmann, Frédéric Lemaître, Henri Meilhac, Nadar, Rachel, Victorien Sardou, Armand Silvestre, and Emile Zola. The notebook also contains various other notes, such as calculations, addresses, and a sketch.
