This series contains reports and testimony regarding conditions in the Franklin County jail, county home, tuberculosis sanitarium, children's home, and workhouse. The reports were prepared by the Franklin County Board of County Visitors for the commissioners and were supplemented by statements of the Ohio Department of Public Welfare and the Columbus Academy of Medicine. The reports detail the problems faced by the county's institutions of the period.
