The Lloyd Madden collection (1937-2005) consists of materials on Madden's student days and professional career accomplishments. Madden was a noted athlete at Mines, particularly in football, and was inducted into the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Hall of Fame for his achievements. He played professional football with the Chicago Cardinals before serving in the U.S. Army Air Forces in World War II. Madden was inducted into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame in 1998. Madden is a member of Colorado School of Mines class of 1941.
