Trustees minute book, 1895-1910.

The Massachusetts State Sanatorium and its predecessor provided medical care to patients in the incipient arrestable stage of tuberculosis who could not afford a private sanatorium. It was governed by an institutional board of trustees (St 1895, c 503) that met monthly from Oct. 1895 until Feb. 1910, by which time the sanatorium passed to the control of the Trustees of Massachusetts Hospitals for Consumptives (officially Trustees of Hospitals for Consumptives). Minute book was created to record its activities and decisions.
