[Notes from Monasticon anglicanum] [ca. 167-?]

Manuscript notes compiled from Dugdale and Dodsworth's Monasticon Anglicanum by an anonymous British antiquary. The writer has organized his volume by region, as opposed to arranging them by religious order as in the original works. A concentration on houses in Yorkshire for the first 140 pages may suggest the writer's origins there. Notes citing Volumes 1 and 2 of the Monasticon are present throughout the text, but there is no mention of Volume 3, which may indicate that this text was written before the third section's 1673 publication date.

p. 11-506, bound ; 23 cm.
