Records of the Education Office, 1962-1984.

The Education Office organizes programs relating to astronomy education in high schools and colleges, teacher resource programs, and the Visiting Lecturer Program. Collection is primarily of records documenting the Harlow Shapley Visiting Lectureship in Astronomy program (1962-1984); includes individual files for each participant in the program arranged by year of participation. Also included are Education Committee files, subject files and four volumes listing American Astronomical Society astronomers willing to act as consultants to the Earth Science Curriculum Project, a summer institute for science teachers held in 1970.
