"This certifies that my good scholar Wealtha M. by her exemplary conduct, diligent attention to her studies, and honorable advancement in knowledge ... merits the approbation, love, and blessing of all who know her." Signed by Polly Reed, the instructor. The bottom two-thirds of the document gives "Precepts and Prohibitions" on how to live an exemplary life. On the back is a list of girl's or women's clothing.
