Bernard Lown, 1921-, BS, 1942, University of Maine; MD, 1945, Johns Hopkins University, a cardiologist, was awarded the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize as co-founder of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War. Lown was Professor of Cardiology in the Department of Nutrition at Harvard School of Public Health. He was Director of the Samuel A.
