A letter from Romney to his friend and fellow painter Oziah Humphrey about an Italian trip. The letter was written after his return from Italy and describes Venice, the Doge's palace, and gives an account of the paintings by Titian he has seen there. He gives details of the import duty paid on painting and sculpture brought back from Italy. Also reports on events in London, including a Fuseli exhibit at the Society of Artists.
