Noting that he has met with "Gadge" (i.e., Kazan) following the receipt of Zanuck's wires, and outlining the results of their discussions. Noting that: 1. the Mexican church should not be consulted for permission to make the film; 2. the Minister of Communications oversees censorship in Mexico, and that while they should not have any censorship issues he will probably have to be "paid off;" 3. who to contact to obtain permission to use the facilities of the Mexican government; 4. that opposition of the film is most likely to come from the Mexican film industry itself, especially with the recent memory of the film Viva Villa; 5. that Kazan would like to test Pedro Armendarrez for the part of Pete; and 6. that Gabriel Figuerrola is both the best cameraman and probably the most powerful man in the Mexican film industry, and suggesting that he be approached to possibly work on the film. Noting that he has two plays to write in the spring, and giving his contact information in New York City.
