Album of British artists' letters, ca. 1810-1890.

An autograph collection devoted to British art and incorporating ca. 200 letters, primarily of painters and engravers, with occasional sculptors and architects. It was apparently compiled mostly prior to 1890 and from many sources, but includes archives surrounding the print publishers, dealers and engravers Samuel Cousins, J. Hogarth, Henry Bicknell, and Hurst and Robinson (most of such letters dating between 1820 and 1870).
