The Charles Christopher Adams (1873-1955) papers include correspondence; research materials; notebooks; published papers; photographs. Adams was curator of the University of Michigan Museum, 1903-1906, Forest Zoologist, New York State College of Forestry, 1914-1926, founder and director of the Roosevelt Wild Life Experiment Station, Syracuse, New York, 1919-1926, director of the New York State Museum. His primary fields of interest were general animal ecology, ecology of prairies, forests, and lakes; habitats, relation of ecology to land use; human ecology and public politics; habitats; conservation.
