The collection consists of indentures, deeds, promissory notes, and other legasl and financial papers from the earliest history of Georgia Southern, when it was 1st District A & M School; photographs from the 1920's; correspondence of Dr. Marvin Pittman with realtor Charles E. Cone, concerning his properties in Statesboro (or Andersonville, as that particular area was called then) during the 1940's, when Pittman had been ousted from his position as President of Georgia Teachers College; and miscellaneous documents and photographs of the history of Georgia Southern & Bulloch County from the 1920's to the 1950's.
