Paul Murray Kendall (PMK) was an American academic and historian. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. PMK received an A.B. and an A.M. from the University of Virginia (UV). In 1937, while studying for a Ph.D. from UV, PMK was an English instructor at Ohio University (OU). His focus was Renaissance and Shakespeare.
