Saying how disappointed she is about yesterday; thanking her for some lilies; hoping she has recovered from the flu; remarking that she has spent a good deal of time writing about "the D.H. Lawrences" for the Observer; complaining about Baby Beryl; mentioning that the following day a "fearful man" called Parker Tyler is calling to interview her about Pavlik for a book he is writing on the artist.

Russian-born painter, set designer, and costume designer, Pavel Tchelitchew emigrated in 1920. He lived in Berlin (1921-23) and Paris (1923-34) before moving to New York, where he lived with his partner Charles Henri Ford. David Herbert Richards Lawrence was born September 11, 1885, in Eastwood, near Nottingham, to Arthur Lawrence, a coal miner, and Lydia Beardsall.
