Autograph letter signed : Montagnana, Italy, to Jane Clark, "Friday" [1960 or later?].

Thanking her for a telegram, noting that she would telegraph back but there is no one in the post office because of influenza; regretting that she is unable to come on the 13th and regretting also that Sitwell is unable to accept a counter-invitation for the 11th, and asking if instead she and Kenneth can both come to her instead; mentioning mutual acquaintances.

Kenneth Clark was an art historian and a patron of the arts. He was born in London, and educated at Winchester and Trinity College, Oxford, where he gained a second class in modern history.
