Conveyance by Adam son of Edusa de le Rode of land in Shelley, late 13th cent., conveyance by Thomas son of Hugh de Coppeley of land in Southowran, ca. 1260; conveyances of land in Eland late 13th cent. (witnesses from Thornton, Norland, Horbury, etc.). Inspeximus by William de Emelay, confirming grants made to the Abbey by his ancestors, Nov. 14, 1390 (armorial seal on large piece of brown wax); later copy ex charta antiqua of a conveyance of 1397 to the Premonstratensian Abbey of Cockersand, Lancs, of rents of land in Yorkshire; conveyances of land in Whitleigh, ca. 1300, in Burton, 1325 (written in French), In Norland, 1327, in Prestelay, 1332, in Cesay, early 14th cent., in Etton, 1348, in Snydale, 1354; in Lepton and Farnely, dated at Rowley 1359 (fine seal); grant of land in Rowley by Roger of Studley and wife Sabina to Adam son of Rowley, 14th cent. (2 seals); charters of the manor of Slaithwaite, 1351 (fine seal); facta in curia domini Regis apud Westm' about the manors of Woodson and others, 1372; indenture (both halves, never cut in two) conveying the same manors and that of Slaithwaite, 1374; conveyances of Slaithwaite, 1390 (six seals), land in Almondbury, 1379, in Chapelthorpe, 1393 (three seals, one partly broken). Conveyances of land in Attercliffe, 1466 and 1491. Conveyances of land in Grevehouse, Lepton, etc., 1557.
