Mahogany chest-on-chest with broken-scroll pediment with carved rosettes, pierced latticework, and central flowers & vase finial; dentil molding and fretwork at cornice; fluted quarter columns at corners; ogee bracket feet.

Apprenticed as a cabinetmaker in Edinburgh and London, Thomas Affleck emigrated to Philadelphia in 1763. His clients included wealthy Philadelphians, some of them fellow Quakers.
