[Proposal and other papers regarding the publication of The testimony of Christ's second appearing...]. 1809.

Papers in this collection show the requirements of the New Lebanon Shakers for the publication of Benjamin Young's book (see no. 463). The printing firm of E. and E. Hosford, Albany, N.Y., responded with prices for printing as well as for paper and binding supplies. The Shakers felt it was their duty to share the gospel, and wanted to charge a price for the book which would only cover the printing costs and would not give them a profit.
