James Wilson poetry, undated.

Poetry from inmates at the Connecticut State Prison in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Two poems, on one sheet, were written by James Wilson. The author of the other is unknown. According to an envelope with the poems, E. Hart Fenn gave the writings to Morgan B. Brainard. The poems by Wilson apparently reached Fenn via Henry J. Eaton, Chief of the Hartford Fire Department. A note on the anonymous poem states that it was meant to be found in the prison by a guard.
