Purchase prize collection contains records related to the purchase of the artworks, including award letters, lists, exhibition announcements, clippings and ephemera related to individual artists. The RIT Libraries Fine and Applied Art Purhase Prize and Photo Purchase Prize programs purchase art works from RIT's College of Imaging Arts and Sciences undergraduate and graduate students each year. The goal of the program is two fold: to select the best work from the exhibitions but to also capture the diversity of work made by RIT students in the programs.
