Contains correspondence, memoranda, laboratory records, manuscripts, near-print items, newspaper clippings, and other records relating to Skinner's career as a psychologist. A wide variety of topics and concerns are covered: human and animal behavioral control; behavior-shaping technology (including teaching machines, aircribs, and programmed instruction); locomotion and learning; social engineering (including Walden Two issues and correspondence); the myth of autonomous man; genetic and environmental determinism; and social and political philosophy. Much of the correspondence is directed to fellow psychologists or answers inquiries from interested parties concerning Skinner's thought.
