Walcott, (Harvard, A.B. 1858; Bowdoin, M.D. 1861) was chairman of the Massachusetts State Board of Health from 1886 to 1916 and was president of Massachusetts General Hospital from 1910 to 1928. Following medical school he studied in Vienna and Berlin (1861-1863) and in Paris and London (1865-1866). He practiced in Cambridge, Mass.
