This collection consists of five letters (1972) from Montana and Wyoming public officials to Vivian Paladin, editor of Montana, the Magazine of Western History, congratulating her on a special Yellowstone National Park centennial issue of the magazine. The collection contains five incoming letters of congratulations to Vivian A. Paladin, editor of Montana The Magazine of Western History. The letters were written on the occasion of the centennial of Yellowstone National Park (1872-1972) by U.S. President Richard M. Nixon, U.S. Senators Mike Mansfield and Lee Metcalf of Montana, Governor Forrest Anderson of Montana, and Governor Stanley Hathaway of Wyoming. Montana The Magazine of Western History observed the Yellowstone Centennial with a special issue (Summer 1972). and the letters were printed in that issue. (Small Collection 24)
