Photographs relating to the family and ancestors of Caroline Couch Burns Hoffman and her husband, Lee Hawley Hoffman of Portland, Or. Loose photographs and photographs in albums include portraits of various members of the related Burns, Couch, and Hoffman families, including Julia Hoffman and Margery Hoffman Smith; images of the Hoffman family residence in Portland and the Burns family residence in England; photos taken during Caroline and Lee Hoffman's travels in Europe, Greece, and Hawaii; and images relating to Hoffman & Bates, contractors who manufactured a steel conduit in order to bring Bull Run River water to the city of Portland. Includes color photographs, cartes de visite, cabinet card photographs, and color slides. This collection is only partially processed.
