ArchivalResource

Herman List collection, [graphic], 1897-1913.

The nitrate negatives appear to have been taken during List's employment as a cook at the National Surgical Institute. There are views of Indianapolis taken from the roof of the Institute and interior and exterior views of the Institute. Most images however, are of people who appear to be fellow employees of Mr. List and some patients. The glass plate negatives include more views of Indianapolis, a parade, and the Surgical Institute. There are also images of the List family and friends. Also included are two glass lantern slides from his business in Knightstown. The artifacts consist of camera equipment.

241 digital scans of nitrate negatives, 5 boxes of glass plate negatives, 1 box of manuscript materials, 1 box of 5 artifacts
