These scorebooks were created by former player and announcer Buddy Blattner while he was in the press box covering the Kansas City Royals and California Angels baseball games. These 21 scorebooks cover spring training and the regular season. A scorekeeping legend is included in each box. Volumes 1 through 9 are California Angels games, 1963 to 1968. Volumes 9 through 21 are Kansas City Royals games, 1969 to 1975.

Blattner started his baseball career with the St. Louis Cardinals, making his big-league debut in the 1942 season. Following a stint in the U.S. Navy, Blattner played for the New York Giants from 1946 to 1948 and Philadelphia Phillies in 1949, playing primarily at second base.
