McNerney collection, ca. 1800-1967.

This collection is composed of two series. The first contains memorabilia from the inauguration of Chester T. McNerney as President of Edinboro State College on April 22, 1967. It includes copies of the program, the text of addresses, press releases, and a bible presented to Dr. McNerney and his wife, as well as publicity photos of some of the participants. The other series, which comprises the bulk of the collection, consists of old government documents, manuscripts, certificates, and railroad publications. Much of this series is from the 19th century. The materials were donated to the University by the McNerney family in honor of Dr. McNerney.
