Sarah Faxon letter to William Deming, 1839 March 22.

A letter written by Sarah Faxon, wife of Chester, to her brother William Deming. In the letter she mentions they have agreed to hire 6 or 8 girls to work in the Faxon's silk factory. While we do not know if the factory actually existed, Chester Faxon is known to have had success raising mulberry trees in the Elmwood section of West Hartford, Connecticut.
