There is some correspondence, specification sheets, and descriptions of the building with Robert Hall and Thomas Walker (the contractor for the mill) regarding the time line, equipment, materials, cost estimates, and workmen needed for the construction project (Folders 5 and 7). Some correspondence from Hall indicates that he suffered a prolonged illness in 1833. There are two contracts concerning the steam-mill, one regarding the partnership and one regarding payment. Two ink-drawn plans of the mill, dated 1832, are included.
