Archive of Kermit Sheets, consisting of photographs, drawings, posters, correspondence and other items. Includes photos of Sheets, James Broughton (including many taken during the filming of his "Mother's Day"), various theatrical productions, friends and associates; original design drawings used to illustrate Broughton's book of poetry "An Almanac for Amorists"; material pertaining to novelist Margaret Lawrence; posters for various theatrical productions; a manuscript: "Credo of the San Francisco Lighthouse for the Blind"; and a hand-illustrated book "Poems" by Connie Harvey.

James Richard Broughton was raised in California and graduated from Stanford University in 1936. Kermit Sheets was a San Francisco-based theater director, printer, illustrator, and publisher. He was romantically involved with poet, actor and filmmaker James Broughton.
