Collection contains papers related to the political interests and actions of Vanfleet, including correspondence, literature, and articles related to the John Birch Society and the American Party. There is correspondence between Vanfleet and individuals who were involved in political activism in Utah. Vanfleet was very active in the American Party of Utah and served as Chair for the organization, as well as writing editorials and comments to newspapers. He also collected articles and speeches about the Constitution and freedom, including several by Ezra Taft Benson. There are also several folders of personal papers, including religious notes, legal documents surrounding the death of his mother, and Vanfleet genealogy.

Earl B. Vanfleet (1925-1993) was an electronic technician in Utah. He was a member of the John Birch Society and the American Party. Earl Bay Vanfleet was born September 3, 1925 in Garland, Utah, to Celia Bay Vanfleet and Willard Parker Vanfleet. He graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City, Utah, and was drafted into the United States Army in 1943 and served in India.
