Holograph letter signed to Charles Augustus Davis in New York, ca. 1823. Bainbridge will send a request to the Secretary of the Navy that Davis' nephew be assigned to a ship in the Columbia River, if one is ordered there. He comments on his health and he hopes to see the Davis family in New York in April. A note from Davis to his sister is on page three, telling her that Bainbridge will do all he can regarding his nephew.
