Mrs. John A. Logan correspondence with S. S. McClure [manuscript], 1887, 1898.

Logan writes three letters to McClure concerning an article she is writing for him in 1887, in which she mentions the men who have laid in state in the Capitol rotunda, though she could not write about her dear husband. In a letter, 1898 April 20, McClure (through J. W. Clarke) asks her to name her favorite American, excepting George Washington. She notes on the bottom that she never replies to requests of this kind.
