In this interview John Wagner (b. 1940) discusses his early life in Turner, Montana, where his father ran a garage; the family moving to Libby in 1949 so his father could work for J. Neils Lumber Company and later Zonolite; his father's struggle with asbestosis; living in company housing on Parmenter Creek; work as a gandy dancer in his teens; working for J. Neils; community life in Libby including recreation and social life; air and water quality; personal exposure to vermiculite and asbestos; public knowledge of danger of asbestos; his struggle with asbestosis and impact on family.
