Eugene Casserly letter : San Francisco, Calif., to [Mr.?] Isaac, New York City, N.Y., 1856 Mar. 4.

Handwritten letter asking Isaac to assist Judge Solomon Heydenfeldt. Casserly writes, " He is not only our most influential Judge but a very pleasant and intelligent man." He writes further of Heydenfeldt's politics, "He is a strong Buchanan man & must have influence with B if elected which now sees the most prominent possibility in politics...."
