Born May 1904, Nell Trotter obtained her B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Arkansas (1924), and her M.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin (1929). In 1933, Trotter was hired as at Georgia State College. Apart from a break between 1947-1953, Mrs. Trotter remained at Georgia State College and University until 1970, when she retired.
