Daniel A. Lord manuscript collection, 1925-1994.

This collection contains more than 500 pamphlets, articles, plays, musical compositions, and children's books published by the Queen's Work, the publishing arm of the Sodality of Our Lady, under the direction of Father Dan Lord. Many of the items in the collection were written by Father Lord himself. Father Lord authored more than 500 such pamphlets, plays, songs, and booklets.

Daniel A. Lord was born on April 23, 1888, in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Loyola University in Chicago in 1909, and immediately upon graduation he entered the Society of Jesus at St. Stanislaus Seminary in Florissant, Missouri. He received a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy from Saint Louis University and was ordained a priest in 1923.
