Collection of materials including a diary and flight log while on active service with the American Eagle Squadron's in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Additional items include official correspondence, photographs and memorabilia which were collected by Harold Strickland during World War II.

Harold Strickland entered the Army Aviation Cadet Program in 1924 but soon transferred to the Army meteorology division. He left the Army four years later, received his pilot's license in 1932, and became a commercial pilot and instructor. In 1941, Strickland volunteered for the Royal Air Force and joined one of the Eagle Squadron's a few months later.
