Autograph letter signed : Kingsbridge, to John Ruskin, [1883 Aug.].

Saying he was hoping to see him in London but heard from his cousin [Joan Severn] that he was at Brantwood; telling him that he has come down to Devon; referring to Lady Shelley being "in disrepair over Jeaffreson book and so undertook the thing having a few idle days on my hands;" saying that Lady Shelley has privately printed the Shelley Journals and Correspondence and he will send them to him when he returns to Denmark Hills; telling him that Oriel College with be hosting a "great dinner" on October 11th but he is not sure he will attend.
